File Note: <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">It is intimated that the industry is a large scale red category industry and was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/HSP/2018/7054181 dated 20.03.2018 valid upto 31.03.2023 &amp; under Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/HSP/2018/7055246 upto 31.03.2023 with conditions mentioned therein.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 &amp; Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has submitted application form, CA Certificate, compliance report of earlier granted consents, sample analysis results.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The industry has deposited Rs. 3664100/- vide UTR/Ref. No. HDFCR52023012778319801 dated 27.01.2023 under both acts, which is valid upto 31.03.2028 including NOC regularization fee.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Earlier, the industry was visited by the undersigned along with Environmental Engineer of the Board on 17.10.2022 and observed that the industry was in operation. The industry has installed 04 no. boilers of 8 TPH capacity, 01 Cheema Boiler of capacity 28.5 TPH, 01 thermix heater, 02 Bertram heater, 02 UPS and 01 thermic fluid heater. During visit only 02 no. boilers of capacity 8 TPH were in operation and other boilers were not operational. The industry has also installed 05 DG Sets with acoustic arrangements and adequate stack height. The boiler of capacity 28.5 TPH is provided with ESP as APCD. <span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;">Another boiler of capacity 4 TPH (wood fired) was in abandoned condition.</span> The industry has installed ETPs for the treatment of trade effluent and domestic effluent generated from the premises. The outlet of the both the ETPs is common. The treated effluent is discharged onto land for plantation in an area of about 20 acres. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>During visit effluent sample and Air emission sampling was carried out and as per the analysis results and as per analysis report received from ZO Lab, Jalandhar vide no. 3048-50 dated 02.11.2022 and 2947-49 dated 31.10.2022, the concentration of various parameters of treated effluent and air emission was found within limit.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>In view of above, if approved, it is recommended that consent to operate Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2028 with usual terms and conditions.</p> <p>(Competency worthy Chairman of the Board)</p>
