The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS on 27.01.2023 for production of Iron & Steel Rods/Hex @ 5 TPD. </span></p>

The industry has installed 2 pickling tanks of size about 2'x2'x25' and the trade effluent was being discharged into sewer leading to Kala Sanghian Drain. The report along with recommendations was sent vide e-office no. 142161 dated 14.12.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 21.3pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has deposited Rs. 15,900/- (Rs. 11,000/- under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 3300/- late fees, Rs. 1100/- NOC regularization fee & Rs. 500 Form fee) vide UTR/Reference No.</span> KKBKH23025947594 dated 25.01.2023, which is adequate upto 30.06.2028 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 4,94,631/- and plant & machinery Rs. 4,94,631/- as on <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>20.12.2022. The industry has submitted copy of Rent Deed as the proof of date of commissioning of the industry, as per which the industry has taken the said plot on lease on 01.11.2019. The industry is surrounded by various other industrial units, having valid consents from the Board. Further, the industry has submitted copy of land use classification certificate issued by Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar vide letter no. 2473 dated 03.05.2021 mentioning that the plot no. 23 i.e. the plot is located in Basti Peer Dad Khan, Tehsil & District Jalandhar and falls in special industrial zone as per Master Plan, Jalandhar. Hence the site is suitable for establishment of red category unit.</p>

Ltd (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana for lifting of pickling effluent @ 2000 Liter/Month. The industry has got lifted 2000 ltr to the CETP operator vide manifest no. 68405 dated 01.02.2023.</span></p>

Sushil Kumar Garg competent person recognized by Director of Factories, Punjab.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 36.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">In view of above and the compliance made by the industry, it is recommended that Environmental Compensation of suitable amount may be imposed upon the industry for its earlier violations and thereafter, consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted for short term with suitable conditions, please.
