<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -36.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Sir, it is intimated that earlier the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 23.09.2022 and found that the industry was in operation and engaged in the manufacturing of plastic industrial packing material, but being operated without valid consent to operate of the Board and report sent to Zonal Office-1, Ludhiana. The industry was issued show cause notice by ZO-1, Ludhiana vide its letter no. 5001 dated 02.09.2022 for violation under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Hazardous Waste (Management Handling & Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 with personal hearing on 09.11.2022 held before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-1, Ludhiana. But, the industry was not attended the same.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981under green category online through Invest Punjab Portal. The industry has uploaded the requisite documents i.e. approved building plan, CA certificate regarding value of fixed assets, manufacturing process chart, copy of registry, partnership deed & Udyog Aadhar certificate etc. The industry has deposited consent fee Rs. 45375/- vide R.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>No. 341224115 dated 25.01.2023 (Rs. 25000/- consent fee under VDS scheme as the industry is operating before the year 2000, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Rs. 16,975/- consent fee under water Act, 1974, Rs. 2900/- NOC regularization fee & Rs. 500/- application form fee <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>& Rs. 11300/- vide receipt no.220451117 dated 02.02.2023 as consent fee under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 41975/-( Rs. 25000/- consent fee under VDS scheme as the industry is operating before the year 2000, 16975 vide R.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>No. 245417191 dated 25.01.2023 & Rs. 11300/- vide receipt no.220451117 dated 02.02.2023 under Air Act, 1981. Date of commencement of the industry is 1990 as per Uyog Aadhaar. Consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.12.2027 under both acts.</span></p>

Spent oil generated from the DG set during its service was taken away by scrap vendor. But now the industry has committed during visit in future it does not happens and will be stored in facility provided shortly for spent oil as well as empty ink cane.</span></p>

Vikas Singla, partner of the industry was committed to apply for the same after made agreement with authorized person.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2027 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board/upto adequacy of consent fee and with special conditions that:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic-thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</span></p>
