<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"> The unit is a marriage palace and was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 dated 28.06.2016 valid upto 30.09.2020 for domestic effluent @ 8.0 KLD to be used onto land for plantation after septic tank with condition that the unit shall provide oil & grease trap followed by well design septic tank and consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 dated 27.06.2016 valid upto 30.09.2020 for DG Sets of capacity 01 No. 200 KVA, 01 No. of 125 KVA with canopy.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"> Now, the marriage palace has applied for renewal of consent under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 The industry was visited on 19.1.2023 and reported that the marriage palace is not in operation due to off season. The marriage palace has provided one Hall, Kitty hall, 8 Rooms and Banquet Hall and capacity of hall is 500 persons. The wastewater from restaurant/kitty hall side is passed through O&G traps and then collected in underground tank.The domestic effluent / wastewater from marriage palace side toilets and kitchen is passed through the septic tank from where it is pumped for discharge onto land for irrigation purpose. The marriage palace has installed 03 no. DG sets of capacity 200 KVA, 125 KVA & 15 KVA equipped with canopies and stacks. The emission collection hoods and stacks of height about 10' and 5' are provided for kitchen. The solid waste is lifted by the MC Nawanshahr. No SUP items were found in the premises.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"> In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2027 with suitable conditions and special conditions that:-</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">1)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall obtain necessary permission from Punjab Water Regulation & Development Authority (PWRDA) for extraction of ground water.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">2)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall provide Rain Water Harvesting System in consultation with Punjab Water Regulation & Development Authority (PWRDA).</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">3)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall provide efficient fixtures to control consumption of water and shall reuse maximum treated water for non-portable purpose/ gardening etc.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">4)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall maintain the plantation area for utilization of entire treated effluent on to land for plantation.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">5)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall adopt energy conservation measures by providing solar system, LED bulbs & inverters etc.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">6)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">7)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall develop the vermi-composting/composting to manage the bio-degradable solid waste.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">8)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">9)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span> The marriage palace shall ensure that hazardous waste (used oil, used batteries) are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized recyclers registered with MoEF & CC / CPCB and having valid operating license of Punjab Pollution Control Board.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">10)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches / water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">11)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall make all necessary arrangements for compliance of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 & shall obtain required necessary permission from designated authorities for operation of DJ etc. as per provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 42.55pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24.55pt;">12)<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The marriage palace shall not use or allow to use single use plastic (SUP) items in the premises as same are banned from 01/07/2022 as per the Notification of Govt. of India as well as Punjab.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 40.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt;">13) The marriage palace shall comply with mechanism / guidelines for control of pollution and enforcement of environment norms as per office order no. 64 dated 02/02/2021 issued by the Board.
