<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The unit is a small scale orange category hotel and was granted consent to establish (NOC) under Water Act, 1974 and under Air Act, 1981 valid upto 06.12.2019 for Hotel industry having 75 rooms and 2 Banquet, 1 Bar and Restaurant.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the hotel has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Act, 1974 and under Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for Hotel having 75 rooms and 2 Banquet, 1 Bar and Restaurant.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The hotel was visited on 27.01.2023 and observed that the restaurant and banquet hall was in operation and room are not in operation.The hotel has installed 01 no. DG set of capacity 250 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height. The hotel has installed STP for the treatment of effluent to be generated from its premises of capacity 40 KLD based on biological treatment, which is principally adequate and further disposal of the same 20 mtr 3 reusing in flushing with dual plumbing balance onto land for plantation after STP as well as onto land for plantation. The hotel has submitted completion certificate of the STP and yet to be operational.The hotel has uploaded the certificate issued by M.C Town Planner, Jalandhar vide its letter no. 2953 dated 08.12.2017 and as per certificate, change of land use has been converted from residential to hotel. The hotel has submitted approved building plan from competent person under factories act, Punjab. The hotel has deposited consent fee under both Acts adequate upto 30.09.2024</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the hotel upto 30.09.2024 with usual conditions and with special conditions that:-</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall provide efficient fixtures to control consumption of water and shall reuse maximum treated water for non-portable purpose/ gardening etc.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall adopt energy conservation measures by providing solar system, LED bulbs & inverters etc.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">10)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall ensure that hazardous waste (used oil, used batteries) are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized recyclers registered with MoEF & CC / CPCB and having valid operating license of Punjab Pollution Control Board.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">11)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></strong><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches / water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">12)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>make all necessary arrangements for compliance of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 & shall obtain required necessary permission from designated authorities for operation of DJ etc. as per provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.
