<p>As already submitted in similar cases, the copy of authorization granted by the Board under HWM Rules, 2016 to the CETP of M/s JBR in Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana has also been obtained from EE, RO-4, Ludhiana which is attached herewith. The said CETP has not been authorized by the Board to receive any type of hazardous waste. It has no passbook under the said rules. The consents granted to it are also for receiving and treating the wastewater from electroplating units only. The present unit generates spent HCL which is hazardous waste defined under category 12 of schedule-I of the above-said rules. It is therefore recommended that consent may be refused to the industry.</p> |
