<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate for the products of COLD STORAGE OF POTATOES/VEGETABLES @5050MT/Year. The industry was granted consent vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2018/7375643 dated 16/04/2018 valid upto 31/12/2026 under Water Act, 1974 & vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2018/7375513 dated 16/04/2018 valid upto 31/12/2026 under Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for the product COLD STORAGE OF POTATOES/VEGETABLES @ 6650 MT/year.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has deposited Rs. 1,26,000/- vide UTR No. P030230217473213 dated 30.01.2023 water consent fees & Rs. 1,26,000/- vide UTR No. P030230217469365 dated 30.01.2023 as air consent fees, which is adequate upto 31.03.2031 against the fixed assets of Rs. 503.66/- Lacs. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for varied of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The site of industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 09.02.2023 and it was observed as under :-</span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;">The industry is a cold store which was in operation during the visit. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;">The industry has provided septic tank for domestic effluent and has provided adequate plantation area. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;">The industry has provided the recirculation system of cooling water. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;">The industry has installed a separate cold store line within<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the same shed as an extension to the existing line due to which the production capacity has increased and it has applied for varied consent.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;">The industry has installed 1 no. D.G set of 200 KVA capacity fitted with canopy and adequate stack height. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: windowtext;">The industry has already submitted copy of CLU issued by STP, Ludhiana vide no. 2406 dated 30.3.2017 mentioning that the site falls in Agriculture Land Use Zone as per approved Master Plan Khanna (2010-2031). The permission for CLU for (Cold Store) use is granted as per the provisions of “The Punjab Regional & Town Planning & Development (Amended) Act, 2006. </span></li>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2030 with usual conditions.</span></p> |
