R16SASCTOW3771550 dated 01/04/2016 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R16SASCTOA3771536 dated 30/03/2016, both which had expired on 30/06/2020 for manufacturing of Crushing of river bed material @ 4000 CFT/day as product, subject to certain condition as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0.2pt 6pt 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Crushing of river bed material @ 4000 CFT/day as products, along with requisite document. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0.2pt 6pt 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has deposited Rs. 29500/- vide R. no. 526732938 dated 21.01.2023 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 29000/- vide R. no. 881975085 dated 21.01.2023 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2027 (considering penalty for late applying fee @ 17,400/-) for both the Acts against the fixed assets of Rs. 46 lakh on 31.12.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-right: 0.2pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> Now, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 14.02.2023, d</span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">uring visit, </span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">it was observed as under:</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The representative of the industry informed that the unit has not been operated since 2020 (after Covid-19) and they shall now operate the stone crusher after obtaining ‘consent to operate’ from PPCB.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has installed 01 no. Jaw machine, 02 no. rotopactor and 02 no. vibrating screen in its premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has provided plant and machinery of stone crushing unit under the shed. However, the shed was found broken at some places and the representative informed that the same is in bad condition due to non-operation of the unit and they shall get it repaired within 15 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has provided chutes of the end of conveyer belts of the stone crusher.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 21.3pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has provided water sprinkling system at the transfer points in its stone crushing unit. however, as the unit was not in operation, its working could not be checked.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0in 0.2pt 6pt 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><strong><u><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Recommendations:</span></u></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; color: #5d5d5d;"> </span><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">In view of above, may if approved, it is recommended that the ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed for upto 30.09.2024 (for short period of 1.5 years) subject to suitable conditions and the following additional conditions as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The industry shall intimate the Board after starting operation of the unit, so as to enable this office to carry out ambient air testing and check the complete code of practice for such units.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The industry shall comply with the code of practice laid down by the Board for such kind of units, at all times.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The industry shall not add any additional machinery and/or land area in its premises, without prior permission of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The industry shall continue operating the water sprinkler system to suppress the dust emission.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The industry shall not install machinery of screening cum washing plant in its premise, without prior permission of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The industry shall not take participate any illegal mining activity and shall not procure raw material from any illegal mines.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The unit shall ensure that no nuisance is created in the vicinity of its premises from the operations of its service station. In case, any complaint is received against the unit, the Board shall be at liberty to revoke/ cancel this consent without giving any opportunity of hearing to the industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The ‘consent to operate’ is being issued to the project proponent based upon the documents/ information submitted by it along with the online application form. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry/project proponent and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time, without any opportunity of Personal Hearing.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.05pt -2.3pt 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">In case the project proponent fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the project proponent.</span></p>
