<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The unit is a small scale orange category marriage palace and was granted consent under Water Act, 1974 dated 17.09.2016 valid upto 30.09.2020 with domestic effluent @ 8.0 KLD to be disposed onto land for plantation after septic tank. The unit was granted consent under the Air Act, 1981 dated 17.09.2016 valid upto 30.09.2020 for DG Sets of capacity 01 No. 62 KVA, 02 No. of 125 KVA with canopy.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The marriage palace was visited by officers of Regional Office Hoshiarpur on 25/1/2022 and found not complying and thereafter, it was issued show cause notice with hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar on 27/12/2022, but failed to attend the hearing. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the marriage palace has applied for obtaining consent under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. As per agenda note, the industry was visited on 31.1.2023 and the marriage palace is not in operation due to no function as informed by the representative of the unit. The marriage palace provided one Hall, Kitty hall, 8 Rooms and Banquet Hall and capacity of hall is 500 persons as informed by the representative of the unit. The industry has installed 03 No. submersible pumps as source of fresh water. The unit has provided separate toilet units and kitchen for marriage palace and restaurant / kitty hall.The wastewater from restaurant/kitty hall side is passed through O&G traps and then collected in underground tank. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The domestic effluent / wastewater from marriage palace side toilets and kitchen is passed through the septic tank from where it is pumped for discharge onto land for irrigation purpose. The earlier provided soakage pit has been dismantled. The unit has installed 03 No. DG Sets of capacity125 KVA, 125KVA & 62 KVA equipped with canopies and stacks. The emission collection hoods and stacks of height about 10' and 5' are provided for kitchen. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The solid waste is segregated and biodegradable waste is used for vermicomposting constructed by the owner in his agricultural land. The other is waste is sent to dump site of MC Rahon.No SUP items were found in the premises. The MP has provided LED lights in the premises.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of report of RO, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>it is recommended that the marriage palace may be granted consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 upto 30.09.2026 with suitable condition and with special condition that:-</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The marriage palace shall comply with mechanism / guidelines for control of pollution and enforcement of environmental norms as issued by PPCB vide office order no. 64 dated 02/02/2021.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall use approved / authorized fuel only with preference to cleaner fuels.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall properly channelize the fugitive emissions including emissions from cooking & kitchen operations by providing proper ducting / hood arrangement and proper exhaust system.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall adopt energy conservation measures by providing solar system, LED bulbs & inverters etc.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches / water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></p>
