<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">It is submitted that the project proponent has applied for fresh consent to operate under green category (3013- Chilling plant, cold storage and ice making) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Cold Storage for storage of Fruits and Vegetables @ 3000 MT capacity alongwith requisite documents.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry had deposited Rs. 127200 vide CR. No. 70/4430 dated 14.03.2017 (Rs. 62400/- & Rs. 2400/- under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 500/- form downloading fee and Rs. 62400/- under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981). Now, the industry has deposited Rs. 21100/- vide UTR No. KKBKH23039921011 dated 08.02.2023 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 20600/- vide UTR No. KKBKH23039919804 dated 08.02.2023 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.10.2033 against the total cost of the industry Rs. 68.61 lacs. <strong>The industry has applied consent to operate under VDS scheme issued by the Board vide no. 394 dated 21.11.2022.</strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry has submitted a letter issued by DTP, SAS Nagar vide no. 285-<span lang="PA">ਡੀਟੀਪੀ(ਐਸ)</span>CLU/17/002 dated 06.03.2017 regarding grant of Classification of land use certificate measuring total plot area 10 Bigha 11 Biswa on the name of our existing cold storage that falls within the revenue estate of Village Gharuan, Tehs: Kharar, District SAS Nagar.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry has submitted no objection certificate issued by Gram Panchayat, Village Gharuan, SAS Nagar regarding operation of cold storage. The industry has submitted a letter issued by Director of Factories, Punjab vide no. <span lang="PA">ਡਅਫ/ਮੁਹਾਲੀ</span>/<span lang="PA">ਡੀ-33/1077 </span>dated 23.11.2017 regarding acceptance of site plan / layout plan under Factories Act, 1948. The industry has submitted site plan / layout plan approved under Factories Act.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry has submitted project report in which it has been mentioned that there is no generation of trade effluent and around 0.080 KLD domestic effluent is being generated and same is being treated in septic tank and disposed of onto land for plantation. The industry has submitted sale deed between Sh. Gaurav Aggarwal S/o Sh. Naresh Kumar Aggarwal and Sh. Saurav Aggarwal. The industry has submitted Udyam Certificate issued by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises vide Udyam Registration Number UDYAM-PB-20-0003666 dated 01.04.2008.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The site of the industry was visited by undersigned on 15.02.2023. During the visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The cold storage was in operation during the visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The cold storage is using water in cooling and same is being re-circulated. The industry is not generating any trade effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>3.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The cold storage has provided septic tank for treatment of domestic effluent. The treated wastewater is being discharged onto land for plantation along boundary wall.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span>4.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span>The cold storage has installed 02 DG sets of capacity 320 KVA and 62.5 KVA, which area equipped with canopies and stacks of adequate heights.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.12.2032 subject to suitable terms and following additional conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 5.1pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;"><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span></span>This consent is only valid for Cold Storage for storage of Fruits and Vegetables @ 3000 MT capacity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 5.1pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;"><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span></span>The industry shall not start any other new process within its unit which may change its category from Green to Orange/ Red, without the prior written permission of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0.15in 0.0001pt 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;"><span>3.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span></span><span>The industry shall discharge only domestic effluent onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0.15in 0.0001pt 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;"><span>4.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span></span><span>The industry shall not generate any trade effluent.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 5.1pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;"><span>5.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span></span>The industry shall obtain permission from other concern departments, if need be.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
