<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>No one from the industry attended the hearing. However,</span><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"> the industry has submitted the reply to the notice vide its letter dated 9/2/2023 stating that they have installed ETP for treatment of waste water generated from washing process. He requested some time to submit the certificate from concerned Department regarding suitablity of site, approved building plan from the Director of Factories, Punjab and to provide a storage facility for storage of hazardous waste categories. They are in process of completing documents for applying for authorization under Hazardous & other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> In view of the above it is recommended that</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 11.5pt; text-indent: -36pt;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 11.5pt; text-indent: -36pt;">Consent to operate applied by the industry under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be refused, please.
