<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>No one from the industry attended the hearing. However,</span><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"> the industry has submitted the reply to the notice vide its letter dated 9/2/2023 stating that they have installed ETP for treatment of waste water generated from washing process. He requested some time to submit the certificate from concerned Department regarding suitablity of site, approved building plan from the Director of Factories, Punjab and to provide a storage facility for storage of hazardous waste categories. They are in process of completing documents for applying for authorization under Hazardous & other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 11.5pt; text-indent: -36pt;"> In view of above it is recommended that Consent to operate applied by the industry under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be refused, please Competency SEE-J.</span></p> |
