The industry is small scale red category dyeing unit and a member of CETP 50 MLD. Earlier, the industry has applied for discharge of TE @ 696 KLD and DE @ 4 KLD into CETP 50 MLD. As per GNE-2022, the industry has installed machinery for discharge of TE @ 640 KLD and was allotted tentative shares by PDA letter dated 22.07.2022 @ 522 KLD. Accordingly, the competent authority of the Board has allowed the discharge of 522 KLD (lesser discharge from GNE and tentative shares).

Accordingly, the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, valid upto 04.03.2023 for discharge of trade effluent @ 518 KLD & domestic effluent @ 4 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD.

Now, the industry now again has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for same production with discharge of trade effluent @ 696 KLD & domestic effluent @ 2 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD.

The industry has submitted letter from PDA that due to typing mistake has written 522 share instead of 696 KLD share in the share list of 22.07.2022. The industry has also submitted a copy of agreement with PDA dated 11.07.2022, mentioning the discharge by the industry 696 KLD into CETP.

Considering the submission of the industry, the discharge of the industry is to be regularize to 640 KLD i.e. lesser discharge from GNE and tentative shares.

In view of above, the request of the industry be considered and it is recommended that:-

1. Directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be issued to de-seal the balance dyeing machinery of the industry (i.e. 02 soft flow of 300 Kg each).

2. The consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 be granted for 3 months for discharge of TE @ 636 KLD and DE @ 4 KLD into CETP 50 MLD with conditions imposed to CETP member units
