<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l9 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Accordingly the industry was visited by officer of this office on 26.07.2019 and observed as under :</span></li>

The industry is engaged in practice of lifting effluent from pickling tanks through buckets and drain it into pipeline leading to storage tank.</span></p>

The industry has provided water meter at source of fresh water supply for pickling process. No responsible representative of industry was present at site, hence no record w.r.t fresh water consumption and effluent lifted to M/S JBR Tech. Pvt. Ltd was produced during visit. However, tank from which effluent got lifted by M/s JBR Tech, having capacity 2000 Itr was completely filled upto brim. The complainant was also present at site, who complained about problem caused by emissions of acid fumes from industry during early morning and night. The industry has not taken any preventive measure to control such emissions from pickling section.</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l10 level1 lfo4;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thereafter, the industry was issued show cause notice u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer ZO, Jalandhar on 23.10.2020 wherein it was decided as under :</span></li>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; mso-list: l5 level1 lfo8;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">That the industry will not restart any process unless all necessary water/air pollution control measures are taken and concentration of various pollutants in s effluent/emissions conforms to the effluent/emissions standards laid down by the Board for such discharges/emissions.</span></li>

No. 72/4543 dated. 15.02.2018 form fee which are adequate upto 30.06.2024.</span></li>
