<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The hotel is a small scale orange category unit and was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the disposal of only domestic effluent @ 12.0 KLD into sewer after treatment through oil & grease traps, which were expired on 24.09.2020 and 30.09.2022 respectively.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the disposal of domestic effluent @ 12.0 KLD into MC sewer. The hotel has deposited consents fee, which are valid upto 30.06.2027 under both Acts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The hotel was visited by AEE of RO on 09.02.2023 and observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The hotel has provided 46 no. rooms inside the premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The hotel has also constructed marriage party hall in the basement and one kitchen inside the premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The hotel has constructed kitchen and provided gas fired bhathies tandoors in the same. Hoods are provided on all the mouth of bhathies and further connected with the common duct leading to top of roof of the building.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The hotel has installed settling tanks followed by oil and grease traps for the treatment of effluent generated from the kitchen. Thereafter the effluent is being discharged into the MC sewer leading to the terminal STP.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The hotel has also installed 01 no. of DG set of capacity 180 KVA with canopy inside the premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6. <!--[endif]-->The hotel has not made any arrangement for the composting of wet waste generated from the kitchen.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->7. <!--[endif]-->As per the ATP, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana certificate issued vide letter no. 1030/ATP/D dated 15.03.2011, which shows that the subject cited land covered into commercial area from residential area. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for short period i.e. upto 30.09.2023 with condition that the hotel shall provide bio-composter for disposal of its wet waste generated from kitchen section, within 01 month.</p>
