<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Kindly peruse the note and recommendation given by RO. It is intimated that the industry was visited by AEE R.O. on 21/6/2022 and reported that the industry is using anti-rust/anti-scaling chemicals to remove the scale of the metal component. The effluent generated from the washing process was stored in the collection tank. Thereafter, the same was disposed off outside the premises by mobile tanker as confirmed by the representative of the unit. The effluent samples were collected from the collection tank and untreated effluent was collected and same was analyzed by Board's Lab. As per the analysis report, the concentration of the parameters was beyond the prescribed limits of the Board as tabulated below:</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">From the above, it is clear that the industry is generating high organic and inorganic load. Therefore, the industry is violating the provision of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Accordingly, the PSPCL authorities were directed u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 to disconnect of electricity connection vide Board's letter no. 4836 dated 08/08/2022.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now, the industry applied for CTO under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 under RED Category, and then RO reported that the industry complied with the provision with Water Act,1974 and Air Act,1981, therefore both CTOs was granted upto 28/2/23.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now PP has applied renewal CTO under Water Act,1974 and RO has reported that The industry is complying with the previous consent conditions granted to it under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> May approved, the following action be taken:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">1) PSPCL authorities may be directed u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 to restore the electric connection for six months.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2) CTO applied under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted for six months with conditions as proposed by E.E, Regional Office. E.E., Regional Office may also be requested to monitor the industry as per protocol framed by Board to restore further electric connection restoration.</span></p>
