CTE/Fresh/GRP/2022/18015351 dtd 25/02/2022, which is valid upto 24/02/2023 under orange category. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 150%;"> Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 under orange category. </span><span lang="EN-US">The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 150%;"> The industry has deposited Rs. 15,000/- vide UTR No. SDL122327976 dated 27/01/2023 & Rs. 14,500/- vide UTR No. SDL122328230 dated 27/01/2023 as consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, </span><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 150%;">1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 500/- as Form Downloading fee against total gross value of fixed assets worth Rs. 48,26,570/- as on 30/11/2022 and same are adequate upto 31/01/2028 under both Acts. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 150%;"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has submitted the completion certificate and drawing of the PSCST, Chandigarh vide letter no. PSCST/TFD/510 dated 27/10/2022 that the industry has installed cupola furnace and air pollution control device having melting capacity less than 3T/hr as per the technology evolved by PSCST, Chandigarh. The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 17/02/2023 and observed as under:-</span> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;"> The project falls in Orange category in small scale sector, hence competency to decide the case lies with the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board in the light of Head Office, Patiala letter no. 19650-761 dated 30/</span><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">04/2013 (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).</span></span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;"> In view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2027 with suitable conditions. </span></span></p> |
