<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry has applied for renewal of consents.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">On further scrutiny, it has been observed that during last water consent the discharge of Trade Effluent @ 637.0 KLD & Domestic Effluent @ 50.0 KLD was permitted to the industry.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for discharge of Trade Effluent @ 275.0 KLD, Domestic Effluent @ 50.0 KLD & Recycle @ 100.0 KLD. The industry has also submitted a request letter in which it is stated that condensate from multi effect evaporates and spent lease will be reused in Grain Cooking section resulting in decrease in trade effluent.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is submitted that the industry is required to apply varied consents under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, in case they want to change their mode of disposal / trade effluent.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">If approved, the applications of the industry for obtaining renewal of consents may be returned to the industry with clear instructions to apply for varied consents under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p> |
