<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry is medium scale red category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981, valid upto 31/03/2023 with certain conditions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981. The industry has deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 31.03.2028.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by officer of RO on 18.02.2023 and it was observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry was in operation during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed 02 boilers of capacities 02 TPH & 03 TPH and Pet coke is used as fuel. During visit boiler section was not in operation. The industry has installed multi cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD for both the boilers. The industry is maintaining the record of APCD operation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->It is further informed that the stack emission sample of the industry has been collected on 10.08.22 from porthole of 02 TPH of boiler stack after APCD and as per the analysis report, the SPM was found to be 165 mg/Nm3 against the prescribed limit of 500 mg/Nm3 and SO2=298 mg/Nm3 against the prescribed limit 400 mg/Nm3, which is within the prescribed limits of the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The industry has provided common stack with both boilers along with adequate arrangements for sample collection facilities.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The representative of the industry informed that fuel ash generated from the burning of pet coke is being reused again.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed 02 D.G. sets of capacities 250 KVA & 82 KVA with canopies and adequate stack heights.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</p>
