The industry has given an undertaking that they are using approx. 1.2 Ton resin in the plywood production. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .25in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .25in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">It is further submitted that the Indian Plywood Industry has requested for exemption of Environmental Clearance for making in house resin by plywood and panel industries. The matter was finally considered by the meeting of expert committees on 05/03/2019 for streamlining Environmental Clearance procedure, after detailed deliberation on pollution potential. The expert committee comments are as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: normal; margin: 0in 45.0pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><strong><em><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">“The process of manufacturing of resin, was of the opinion that this activity may be listed under category B2 and the procedure required for category B2 may be followed for the production of resin not exceeding 1000 tons per annum (4 tons per day) by captive manufacturing and utilization in plywood.”</span></em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 18.0pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> The industry has also submitted BG amounting to Rs. 50,000/- which is valid upto 22/02/2024.</span></p>
