CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2022/18284175 dated 13/07/2022, which is valid upto 31/12/2022 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2021/15854080 dated 01/07/2021, having validity upto 31.03.2024 for manufacturing of 01 Newsprint @ 250 MTD as products.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">2)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>During visit, it was observed that the industry has not provided proper environmental data board at entrance of unit.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">3)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The ETP installed by the industry was in operation during the visit and samples from outlet of ETP (after final clarified) was collected and same was analyzed by Board's Lab. As per the analysis results, all the parameters are found within limits as prescribed by the Board. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">4)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has installed OCEMS at outlet of ETP and during visit, following readings were observed as COD 118.39; BOD 16.07; TSS 20.14, pH- 10.27. However, the OCEMS has not been linked with portal of PPCB, till date.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">5)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has not provided flow meter at inlet of ETP so as to adjudge the quantity of inlet effluent. Further, the industry has not provided EMF meter at line carrying treated wastewater into final holding tank.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">6)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry is not maintaining proper record of the reading of the installed flow meters at the outlet of ETP and meter installed at recirculation line.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">7)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has kept sludge from 02 of centrifuges in open area near the ETP. The sludge is kept in very huge quantity and is in very haphazard manner in open area and the industry is not maintaining any record of generation and disposal of the sludge.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">8)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>During visit, it was also observed that the industry has kept many plastic drums containing ETP chemicals, in open area without any proper shed.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">9)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has been installed rice husk fixed boiler of capacity 25 TPH in its premises. The boiler has been provided with twin cyclone as APCD stack emission samples was collected. As per the analysis results, the particulate matter was found beyond as 180 mg/l against 150 mg/l. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">10)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry is not storing its boiler ash in proper manner and during visit, heaps of ash was seen lying near the boiler area in very haphazard manner. It was also observed that the ash was getting air-borned due to lack of proper maintenance and storage of the same.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">11)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>There is an old collection tank in the ETP area of the unit, which is now lying in very bad condition. During visit, it was observed that rainwater has been collected in the said tank and the industry has kept flexible pipeline for transfer of rainwater from the said abandoned tank to freshwater collection tank. Physical appearance of water in the said tank also indicates that the said water is rainwater.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">12)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The plantation area of the unit was found in dry and arid condition and no flow of wastewater is observed in plantation area. The representative informed that entire treated wastewater is being recycled back into process.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">13)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The housekeeping of the unit was found in very bad condition during the visit.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">14)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The CCTV cameras installed by the industry are not linked with the online server of PPCB.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has now again applied consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="mso-bookmark: _Hlk108499494;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry is not complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as well as conditions imposed in the consent to operate earlier granted to it and is operating its unit without valid consent to operate of the Board, thus violating the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, intentionally & deliberately. It was proposed to refuse the renewal of consent to operate applied under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 after affording an opportunity of show cause/ personal hearing.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span></span></strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Therefore, the industry was served show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate applied under the Water Act, 1974 alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing vide Board's letter no. no. 695-96 dated 25/1/2023 before the Chairman of the Board on 8/2/2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><strong><u><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">Notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981:</span></u></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The officers of the Board brought out that the <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SAS/2022/18284175 dated 13/07/2022, which is valid upto 31/12/2022 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ SAS/2021/15854080 dated 1/7/2021, valid upto 31/3/2024 for manufacturing of 01 Newsprint @ 250 MTD as products.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry was earlier visited by officer of the Board <strong>on 30/3/2022</strong> to monitor the stack attached to the boiler of the industry and it was observed that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">1)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry was in operation and engaged in the business of manufacturing of News print paper.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">2)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has installed one co-generation power plant of capacity 4 MW with a rice husk fired boiler capacity of 25 TPH, which is equipped with trima cyclone as APCD to contain the concentration of SPM within the standards prescribed by the Board. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">3)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>During the conduct of visit, the stack emission sample of the industry was collected from the stack attached to APCD of boiler of capacity 25 TPH and same was analyzed by Board's Lab. As per analysis results, the concentration of PM in the emissions was 188 mg/Nm<sup>3</sup> @ 12% CO2, which was beyond the permissible limit of 150 mg/Nm3 @ 12% CO2. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">4)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has stored the significant quantity of rice husk under the shed. The fly ash was being got lifted by a private contractor who is giving it to the owners of brick kilns for using fly ash in manufacturing of bricks and/ or to infrastructure development agencies like PWD/ NHAI etc. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry was again visited two times by officer of the Board on 28/6/2022 and 23/9/2022 and 25 TPH boiler stack emission sampling was carried out. As per the analysis results, the parameters were found as 244 mg/Nm3 (on 28/6/2022) and 262 mg/Nm3 (on 22/9/2022) against the permissible limits of 150 mg/Nm3 as prescribed by the Board. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry continuously failed to achieve the emission standards as prescribed by the Board and also failed to comply with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Therefore, the industry was served show cause notice for cancellation of consent to operate granted under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith an opportunity to submit the reply within 15-days vide Board's letter no. 6291-92 dated 14/10/2022 due to above mentioned therein. The industry was submitted its reply vide letter dated 28/10/2022, the industry has replied as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">On dated 28/6/2022</span></strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">: During the inspection by PPCB team suddenly Boiler tube burst due to which Boiler operation parameters disturb & heavy smoke generated in the chamber & same carry over by system.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">On dated 22/9/2022</span></strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">: Due to heavily rain since from the last week in those days & availability of Bio Mass is more than 40% wet (Moisture) due to heavy rain that boiler system not operate in healthy condition & require to clean frequently due to which smoke generate.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>During quarterly sampling of 17 category of industries, the industry was again visited by officers of the Board on 22/9/2022 and stack emission sampling was carried out and same was analyzed by Board's Lab. As per analysis results, the value of particulate matter was still beyond the standards as prescribed for such units.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has also applied renewal of consent to operate granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide application no. Application no. 20752401 and not complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. </span></p>

However, the OCEMS was not linked with portal of PPCB.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">7)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry was not provided flow meter at inlet of ETP so as to adjudge the quantity of inlet effluent. Further, the industry has not provided EMF meter at line carrying treated wastewater into final holding tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">8)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry is not maintaining proper record of the reading of the installed flow meters at the outlet of ETP and meter installed at recirculation line.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">9)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has kept sludge from two of centrifuges in open area near the ETP. The sludge is kept in very huge quantity and is in very haphazard manner in open area and the industry is not maintaining any record of generation and disposal of the sludge.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">10)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>During visit, it was also observed that the industry has kept many plastic drums containing ETP chemicals, in open area without any proper shed.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">11)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>There is an old collection tank in the ETP area of the unit, which is now lying in very bad condition. During visit, it was observed that rainwater has been collected in the said tank and the industry has kept flexible pipeline for transfer of rainwater from the said abandoned tank to freshwater collection tank. Physical appearance of water in the said tank also indicates that the said water is rainwater.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">12)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The plantation area of the unit was found in dry and arid condition and no flow of wastewater is observed in plantation area. The entire treated wastewater is being recycled back into process as informed by the industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">13)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The housekeeping of the unit was found in very bad condition during the visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">14)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The CCTV cameras installed by the industry are not linked with the online server of PPCB.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span></span></strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The consent to operate granted under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was cancelled vide Board's letter no. 824-25 dated 1/2/2023 due to above mentioned reasons.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Further, the industry was served separately show cause notice for refusal of renewal of consent to operate applied under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide Board's letter no. 695-96 dated 28/1/2023 alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before the Chairman of the Board on 8/2/2023. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>It<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>was evident that the industry is continuously violating the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as well as operating its unit without valid consent to operate of the Board as required under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, willfully causing water and air pollution in the vicinity, thus violating the provisions of the said Acts, intentionally and deliberately.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The matter was considered by the Competent Authority and it has been decided to issue notice u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for proposing the closure of the industry after affording an opportunity of personal hearing, due to aforesaid violations. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span></span></strong><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Therefore, the industry was served notice to issue directions <span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 alongwith </span>an opportunity of personal hearing vide Board's letter no. 826-27 dated 1/2/2023 before the Chairman of the Board on 8/2/2023, with the following proposed directions</span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; background: white; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">1) <span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Environmental Compensation may be imposed on PP as damaged the Environment.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">2)<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>That the industry shall take all necessary steps to close down its operations and stop forthwith discharging any effluents/ wastewater into sewer/ into storm water drain/ inland surface water/ onto land for stagnation/ irrigation or through any mode.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">3) That the industry shall stop forthwith discharging any effluents/ emissions from its industrial premises or through any mode.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">4) The industry will immediately stop its activities and will not restart the same unless all necessary water pollution control measures are taken and it obtains valid consent to operate of the Board as required under the provisions of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">5) That the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. authorities shall be directed to disconnect the supply of electricity available to the industry.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">6) That the DG set installed by industry shall be sealed, if any.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The representatives of the industry submitted during the hearing that –</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">(i)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry is fully committed to operate effluent treatment plant to treat the entire generated effluent to meet the prescribed discharge norms as per the Environmental Protection Act, as prescribed by PPCB.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">(ii)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">Previous data board colour faded, so new Environmental Data Board installed at entrance gate.</span></p>

The industry shall immediately deposit the same within one week in the office of Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar.</span></p>

The industry shall maintain the record of the same on daily basis.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in .7pt 6.0pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry shall regularly and efficiently operate the air pollution control devices and shall ensure that any time the emissions do not exceed the emission standards laid down by the Board and shall also ensure that no black smoke is generated from operation of its 25 TPH rice husk boiler.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in .7pt 6.0pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">10.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry shall maintain proper record of disposal of boiler ash in a scientific manner.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in .7pt 6.0pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">12.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">A team shall be constituted by the Competent Authority, which shall visit the industry to verify the compliance of the hearing decisions and statements given by the industry during the hearing including recycling of 100% of its trade effluent and to send further report/ recommendations accordingly.</span></p>
