<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the marriage palace is a small orange category unit and has been granted CTO under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2018/8184513 dated 07.09.2018 is valid upto 30.09.2019 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2019/11277750 dated 04.12.2019 is valid 03.12.2020.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act ,1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has deposited Rs. 7700/-vide R. No. 510832471 dated 24.01.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 7200/- vide R. No. 875112765 dated 24.01.2023, which is adequate upto 30.12.2024 (after deducting late penalty fees) against fixed assets of Rs. 22.33 lacs as per the C.A. certificate dated 20.01.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The marriage palace was given personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 27.01.2023. After hearing, SEE, Zonal office-2, Ludhiana decided as under :-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The marriage palace was visited by undersigned on 18.02.2023 and it was observed as under :-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">1. The marriage palace was not in operation during visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">2. The marriage palace has now repaired the STP and it is now in working condition. However, during visit due to less generation of effluent the effluent sample could not be got collected. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">3. The marriage palace has developed plantation area (0.3 acre) as per karnal technology and has provided pipe network for discharge of effluent into plantation area. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">4. The marriage palace has provided compost pits for managing solid waste. During visit, the marriage palace was guided to develop compost pits in scientific manner on vermi compost pattern having base layer of brick bats /pebbles/course sand, 2 inch garden soil and 1 inch layer of vermi compost along-with cow dung and earth worms and proper sprinkling of water and turning. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">5. The marriage palace has provided installed 2 no. DG set of capacity 62.5 KVA and 82 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">6. The industry has already provided exhaust fan to the chimney provided for dissipation of heat and kitchen emissions. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">In view of the above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2023 with special condition that :-</span></p>
