<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry is a small scale red category industry and has been granted Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH4/2021/15324721 dated 24.04.2021 valid upto 19.04.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Now, the industry has applied for Renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS. The industry has already deposit Rs. 6,440/ each- vide UTR No. CBINH21056556623 dated 25.02.2021 under Water Act, 1974 and the industry has also deposited the NOC Regularization fees of Rs. 1,400/- vide UTR No. CBINH21056556762 dated 25.02.2021 under Water Act, 1974. Now the industry has deposited Rs. 1400/- vide R.No. 791443531 dated 25.01.2023, which is adequate upto 30.06.2026 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 5,40,550/- and plant & machinery Rs. 4,25,100/- as on 05.01.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry was given personal hearing before the SEE, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 27.01.2023. After hearing SEE, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana decided as under :-</span></p>

Ltd., Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana shall visit the industry to carry out water audit under his supervision, check the compliance made by the industry and process the consent application on merits, immediately after completion of time allowed.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry was made clear that if, the industry will found violating in future, action under the provision of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 will be initiated against the industry for its closure, disconnection of electric supply and Environmental Compensation (EC) will be imposed upon the industry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">To verify the facts, the industry was again visited by the officer of this office on 18.02.2023 and it was observed as under:- </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry has valid agreement with the CETP operator for 3,000 ltrs/month dated 08.02.2021. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry has now provided an additional storage tank of 2 KL for storage of trade effluent and now total storage capacity is 4 KL. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry is maintaining the record of total water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted. As per record, the reading on 01.10.2022 was 57.22 KL and reading during the visit was 71.20 KL. The total water consumption from the period 01.10.2022 to till date was 13.98 KL and industry has lifted out total 13 KL (Oct. @ 3 KL, Nov. @ 3 KL, Dec. @ 3 KL, Jan. @ 3 KL and Feb. @ 1 KL) during this period which is in-consonance considering evaporation losses.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .75in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: .75in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">In view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2026 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</span></p>
