<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The details of the case are given in the note of AEE dated 20/01/2023, which may kindly be perused. Further, EE, RO, Fatehgarh Sahib has clarified the observation of this office stating that while processing the industry application for renewal of consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 (application ID 9664528 dated 24/3/2019). It was recommended that an alternate method may be suggested since the industry has been unable to renew the bank guarantee, as the bank account of the industry has become NPA and bank officials are refusing to renew the bank guarantee. Accordingly, vide zonal office-2, Patiala letter no. 2147 dated 14/05/2019 RO was asked to take bank draft of Rs. 2.0 lacs from the industry. Therefore, the industry had submitted D.D. no. 949722 dated 31/5/2019 of Rs. 2.0 lacs. Also, FD in favour of Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, Fatehgarh Sahib A/c Bhawani Industry Pvt. Ltd. of Rs. 2.0 lacs was created by Indusind bank and lien was marked on the FD on 10/09/2019. Accordingly, Regional Office has </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">1. CTO granted under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be renewed upto 30/09/2025 with special conditions mentioned in the note of AEE.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">2. The expired demand draft no. 949722 dated 31/05/2019 of Rs. 2 lakhs and FD no. 300732886539 dated 10/09/2022 of Rs. 2.0 lacs be returned to the industry, as the same have already expired.</span></p>
