<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 0.2pt; text-align: justify;">This is a small scale red category unit and has been granted consents for production of River Bed Material @ 9504MT/Year in an area of 1.42 hectare in the revenue estate of Village Begowal, Tehsil Nawanshahr, District SBS Nagar. The applicant has now applied for renewal of consents for mining of minor minerals (sand) @ 9504 TPA.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 0.2pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As per agenda note, the site was visited by the AEE on 14.2.2023 and reported that no mining activity was going on during visit at site, as such, extent of pollution to be generated from movement of vehicles could not be ascertained. The in charge has informed that mining at this site is yet to be started. The weigh bridge (1 no.) for weighing of mined material in the tippers has been provided. The applicant has submitted the Environmental Clearance which is valid till 04.05.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of report of Regional Office, it is recommended that consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the project proponent upto 04.05.2023, subject to the suitable conditions and <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>special conditions as mentioned in the agenda note please, (Competency:- CEE-J)</p>
