Respected sir, it is submitted that the industry has submitted its written reply (enclosed) w.r.t to the applicability of SAC for their expansion project. The main contentions of which are reproduced as under:-

1. We have set up an industrial unit namely "M's Aashima Papers Private Limited, located at Sangrur Road, Sunam to manufacture paper and paper board (Duplex board using waste paper as its raw material with the production capacity of 25 TPD. Now industry proposes to increase the manufacturing capacity from 25 TPD to 60 TPD

2. Manufacturing of paper involves the pulping of waste paper, refining, molding, press role, drying, cutting and rewinding

3. The basic material inputs include- Waste Paper, Alum, Caustic Soda, Gun powder and rani gal

4. The figure attached gives schematic of the overall manufacturing process.

5. Further, industry is neither involved in chlorination or any kind of inking/de-inking process. Chlorine is used in manufacturing of paper.

6. As per the verbal discussion with the authorities, there is no such need of site clearance from the site appraisal committee (SAC) if inking/de-inking and chlorination process is not involved in the manufacturing process.

Further, it is submitted that the industry had installed its new plant and machinery to increase its production capacity without intimating the Board. Hence, no action was taken by this office for the same.

In view of above, may if approved, the reply submitted by the industry regarding applicability of SAC May kindly be considered for grant of varied consents.
|
