<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry was again visited by the undersigned on 24/02/2023 and was found not in operation during the visit. As per the record and e-notings, the last air emission sample of the unit was collected on 12.10.2022 and results were found within the limit. The industry has adequate stack height which is above 80 feet. The industry has not made any progress w.r.t. recommendations/guidance given by the committee constituted by the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology w.r.t. project titled “Development of Pollution Prevention & Mitigation Measures for the Plywood industrial Sector” under Mission Tandrust Punjab.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">As the industry is yet to comply with the directions of Competent Authority and is required to rectify the issue of black smoke from its chimney, short-term consents may be granted to the industry subject to suitable conditions and additional conditions as proposed vide note dated 21/02/2023, please.</span></p> |
