<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 45pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;">It is submitted that the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2022/16830996 dated 02.02.2022 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2022/17179947 dated 02.02.2022 both having validity upto 01.02.2023, subject to certain terms and conditions mentioned therein.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 45pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents<strong>.</strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 45pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;">The industry had deposited Rs. 56800/- vide R. No. 44793584 dated 08.07.2021 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 including Rs. 2300/- as NOC regularization fee and Rs. 500/- as FDF. The industry has not submitted balanced NOC regularization fee amounting Rs. 3600/- however, the same adjusted from the above fee deposited under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 15.12.2025 against the total assets of the industry Rs. 497.85 lacs.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 45pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;">The industry has submitted compliance report of the previous granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><strong><u>Visit:</u></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 45pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;">Accordingly, the site of the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 27.02.2023 and during visit, it was observed as under:</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry falls in the revenue estate of Village Sundran at Sundran-Haripur Hinduan Road, Dera Bassi.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has installed 01 no. induction furnace of capacity 3.5 TPH, having 02 no. of crucibles. The industry has provided side hood suction system followed by bag filter house as APCD with the induction furnace.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">During visit, it was observed that the unit as well as induction furnace was not in operation and the representative of the industry informed that due to low market demand, the unit is operated only for 10-12 days/month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0.25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has installed 01 no. DG set of capacity 82.5 KVA in its premises, which is equipped with canopy.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;">In view of the above, if may approved, ‘consent to operate’ granted to the industry under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 30.09.2025, subject to suitable conditions and following additional conditions:</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 22.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: 16.3pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall immediately get the validity of bank guarantee amounting to Rs. 50,000/-, extended for further one year and shall submit the same in original in the Regional Office, within 10 days.</span></p>
