<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: black;">It is submitted that the Board was asking feasibility report from PSCST for induction furnaces as the quantum of emissions is </span>quite high in that case and as reported by Regional Office, Patiala the industry has not installed induction furnace using scrap as raw material and there are such type of units having aluminium die casting machines which are allowed & operating in Ludhiana area without having design from PSCST, Chandigarh, more over the quantum of emissions is quite low as compared with induction furnace. As such, may if approved reply/ recommendations of Regional Office, Patiala and industry be approved and consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued for a small period of time with appropriate condition i.e. upto 30.06.2023 to the industry for manufacturing of Zinc Handles @ 70000 No./Day by using Zinc @ 5 MT/Day under red category with suitable conditions and special conditions including additional conditions as proposed by RO Patiala as under:</p>

<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: black;">1. The industry shall get the emissions analyzed from PBTI,Mohali and submit the same in Punjab Pollution Control Board, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>within 1 month.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: black;">2. The industry shall ensure that it shall achieve ZLD at all the times and shall not discharge treated/untreated trade effluent in any case.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: black;">3. The industry shall maintain the record w.r.t. fresh water consumption, wastewater generation and effluent reused back in the process.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: black;">4. The industry shall intimate the Board after the installation of pending machinery i.e. two no. melting furnace with casting machine for production of casted zinc product.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: black;">5. The industry shall get its Domestic Effluent and Stack Emissions monitored by Board’s lab within one month.</span></p>
