The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention &<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of Various Type of Casting by using M.S Scrap and Pig Iron Scrap as raw material. The industry has deposited Rs. 32400/- Vide UTR/No. KKBKH23047834474 dated 16.02.2023 under Water Act 1974, Rs. 32400/- Vide UTR/No. KKBKH23047834418 dated 16.02.2023 under Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 4100/- (Including Rs. 500/- as application form fee) Vide UTR/No. KKBKH23047834692 dated 16.02.2023 as NOC Fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2028.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has submitted electricity bill as proof of date of commissioning, according to which the industry is commissioned on 22.02.2021.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; margin: .1pt 6.7pt .0001pt 46.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>industry was visited by officer of this office on 27.02.2023 and it was observed that the industry was not in<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>operation. The industry has installed one induction furnace of capacity 500 kg/heat with bag filter house as APCD but same was not in operation at the time of visit as some repair work was in going on at site. The industry has installed one shot blast machine with bag filter house as APCD. The industry has submitted feasibility report from Maxim Solutions w.r.t APCD installed with induction furnace. The industry has not installed any D.G set in its premises. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The industry has also installed general machinery. The industry has submitted building plan approved from Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry has submitted area classification certificate vide DTP letter no. 1443 dated 19.08.2021, according to which as per Master Plan, Jalandhar (2009-2031), the area of the industry falls in General Industrial zone.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 7.1pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-hansi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span></strong>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2027 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board and with special condition that the shall submit adequacy certificate w.r.t APCD installed with induction furnace from Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh within 03 months.
