CTOW/Renewal/LDHKH/2018/8006224 dated 22/07/2018, valid upto 30/09/2022 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDHKH/2022/18487245 dated 17/05/2022, valid upto 31/12/2022 for the manufacturing of MS Bars, Rounds and Square @ 35 TPD. </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; background: white;">Now, the subject cited industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; letter-spacing: .05pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has deposited </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Rs. 3600/- vide e-R No. 681738358 dated 19/12/2022 as Water consent fee and Rs. 3600/- vide e-R No. 623077449 dated 19/12/2022 as Air consent fee <span style="background: white;">against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 64.24 Lacs as on 30/11/2022 CA Certificate dated 09/12/2022, which is adequate </span><strong>upto 31/12/2023</strong> under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 (after deducting penalty fee 10% and NOC regularization charges), as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018<span style="background: white;">. There is no increase in pollution load and production capacity due to</span></span> <span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; background: white;">difference in fixed assets as the said increase is against purchase of new rolls.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; background: white;">The industry was visited by the AEE of this office alongwith ASO, Air Lab, Head Office, Patiala on <strong>23.06.2022</strong> and during visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>

APCD was found in operation during visit.</span></p>

<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%; margin: 12.0pt 0in 12.0pt 0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; background: white;">Moreover, no complaint has been received/pending in this office. The industry has submitted stack emission sampling was carried out by Board's lab on <strong>23.06.2022</strong>. As per the analysis results, the concentration of SPM is found to be <strong>134 mg/Nm3</strong>, which is within the permissible limits of 150 mg/Nm3 as laid down by the Board. The industry is complying with consent conditions under both acts with Environmental laws. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">In the meeting held under the Chairmanship of Shri Vijay Kumar Janju, Chief Secretary, Punjab with the representatives of rolling mills operating in Mandi Gobindgarh Area on 30/12/2022 at 12:00 noon regarding their conversion of fuel from Coal/Furnace Oil to PNG, it was unanimously decided that the rolling mills operating in Mandi Gobindgarh area may be granted relaxation for some time for converting from their conventional fuels to cleaner fuels and the Competent Authority of the Board may consider/ decide regarding extending the validity of the Consents to Operate till finalization of State Fuel Policy or 31/12/2023, whichever is earlier subject to suitable conditions.</span></p>

However, aforesaid clearance shall not be insisted upon by the Board at the time of grant of CTE/CTO to the industries."</span></strong></p>

S.O. 3250(E) dated 20.07.2022 of MoEF&CC and obtain Environmental Clearance, failing which this 'consent to operate' shall stand revoked/cancelled automatically.</span></p> |
