CTOW/Varied/LDH2/2017/6242836 dated 14/11/2017 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH2/2017/6242660 dated 14/11/2017, valid upto 30/09/2022 for the manufacturing of Bar Flat @ 30 TPD. </span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%; margin: 0in 4.2pt 12.0pt 0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">The industry was given personal hearing by Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Patiala on 29/08/2022 for cancellation of 'consent to operate' under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, wherein, it was decided that the industry shall repair/upgrade its existing APCD within 10 days. Accordingly, the industry has submitted reply vide its letter dated 13/10/2022 that it has updated its APCD and now system is properly working.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">In order to verify the compliance, the industry was </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; background: white;">visited by the AEE of this office alongwith ASO, Air Lab, Head Office, Patiala <strong>on 09.12.2022</strong> and during visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>

<p class="TableParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%; margin: 12.0pt 4.2pt 12.0pt 0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">Now, the subject cited industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents. The industry has earlier deposited Rs. 9000/- vide R no. 45/5048 dated 04.10.2017 and Rs. 9000/- vide R no. 46/5048 dated 04.10.2017 and now Rs. 14500/- vide UTR No. 887697111 dated 20/09/2022 and Rs. 15000/- vide UTR No. 188880905 dated 20/09/2022 as Water and Air consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 58.89 Lacs as on 15/09/2022 as per CA certificate dated 22/09/2022, which is adequate <strong>upto 30/09/2025</strong> as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018 after deducting NOC regularization charges and penalty charges 25 %. </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%; margin: 12.0pt 0in 12.0pt 0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; background: white;">Moreover, no complaint has been received/pending in this office. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">In the meeting held under the Chairmanship of Shri Vijay Kumar Janju, Chief Secretary, Punjab with the representatives of rolling mills operating in Mandi Gobindgarh Area on 30/12/2022 at 12:00 noon regarding their conversion of fuel from Coal/ Furnace Oil to PNG, it was unanimously decided that the rolling mills operating in Mandi Gobindgarh area may be granted relaxation for some time for converting from their conventional fuels to cleaner fuels and the Competent Authority of the Board may consider/ decide regarding extending the validity of the Consents to Operate till finalization of State Fuel Policy or 31/12/2023, whichever is earlier subject to suitable conditions.</span></p>

However, aforesaid clearance shall not be insisted upon by the Board at the time of grant of CTE/CTO to the industries."</span></strong></p>

CEE(HQ)/F.No.957/2016/59 dated 02/02/2016 has decided that the Board shall grant renewal of NOC / Consent to operate within 7 days to all types of industries falling under Orange and Green category, without visiting the industry on the basis of submission of documents self attested by the Owner / Director /Managing partner of industry and deposition of fee prescribed by the Board for such type of industries. The data, processes and pollution control measures installed by the industry shall be verified at a later date by visiting the site as per inspection guidelines. Further, as per PPCB office order no. 443 dated 09.08.2021</span><span lang="EN-US">, </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; color: windowtext; mso-bidi-language: PA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">the Board in its 185th meeting held on 07.01.2021 has decided to extend the facility for auto generated renewal to all categories of small scale industries / projects, without inspection / physical verification of the environmental parameters at the time of application(s).</span></p>
