<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry is a small scale orange category unit and was granted consents both valid upto 30.09.2023.Now the industry has applied for renewal of consents and the Regional office has recommended for grant of consents without visiting the industry as per office order issued by the Head Office, Patiala vide letter no. 59 dated 02.02.2016 as<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>industry falls<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>under<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>orange<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>category.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Keeping in view of report of RO, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>be granted<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with usual conditions and with special condition that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="color: black;">The industry shall not discharge any industrial / trade effluent into sewer or drain.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that hazardous wastes of all categories are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized companies and shall maintain all the records as per provisions of HWM Rules.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>(Competency:- SEE-J). </span></p> |
