<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">The industry is a small scale red category unit engaged in manufacturing of soft drinks and juices. It <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 upto 31/03/2023 for manufacturing of Aerated Soft Drinks & RTS Juice (Total) @ 259 Kilo Liters/Day</span>.</p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited officers of the Board on 22.02.2023 and</span> it was found complying with provisions of Air act, 1981. Please peruse detailed note dated 22.2.23 by AEE for details.</p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">It is further informed that in compliance to the decisions taken by the Competent Authority, an additional condition has been imposed in consent to operate granted to the industry under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 that the industry shall take adequate steps to stop discharging their industrial effluent into municipal sewer, Ludhiana by 31.03.2023. The industry has submitted a written request stating that it shall not be viable for the industry to install complete ZLD system due to shortage of space and other constraints.</span> That issue is being dealt in water consent application.</p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">In view of above, it is recommended that validity of consent granted to industry under Air Act, 1981 may be further extended upto 31.3.2024. </span></p>
