It is submitted that the industry was given personal hearing given before the Chairman of the Board w.r.t notice u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 alongwith show cause notice for revocation of consent to operate granted under the Water Act, 1974, u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 alongwith show cause notice for revocation of consent to operate granted under the Air Act, 1981 and show cause notice for revocation of authorization granted under the Hazardous & Other Wastes Rules, 2016 on 30.05.2022, wherein, it was decided that:- 1.    The industry shall operate its APCDs regularly and efficiently so as to achieve the emission standards prescribed by the Board at all time. 2.    The industry shall submit the record regarding the generation/ lifting of hazardous waste i.e. APCD dust from last two years, within 03 days. 3.    The industry shall submit the extended bank guarantee of Rs. 2.0 Lac in the Regional office, within 07 days. 4.    The industry shall ensure that there is no stagnation in the industrial premises in future. 5.    The industry shall apply for revised authorization under Hazardous and other Waste Rules, 2016 as per the actual quantity of APCD dust within 10 days. 6.    Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-1, Ludhiana shall personally visit the industry after 01 month to collect the air emission samples from stacks of induction furnace as well as the rolling mill, comments on whether the APCDs with the furnaces are being operated or not and submit the report alongwith recommendations in the matter.   <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11.2px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;">In compliance to the hearing decisions, the industry was earlier visited by undersigned on 23.8.2022 and it was observed as under:- 1. The industry was in operation. 2.  The industry has installed induction furnace of 7.0 TPH and has installed bag house filer as APCD. During visit, air emission sample of the industry was collected and as per analysis report, the SPM level is 72 mg/NM3 against the prescribed limit of 150 mg/NM3. The rolling mill is in abandoned conditions and as per representative, the same is not operated since the last two years. 3.  The industry is maintaining the record of generation/ lifting of hazardous waste i.e. APCD dust and has submitted copy of the same in this office (copy enclosed). 4.  The industry has submitted extended bank guarantee of Rs 2.0 Lac, valid upto 22.10.2025 in this office. 5.  No stagnation was observed during the above visit. 6.  As per the record maintained by the industry, the industry has generated 403 Kg, 435 kg, 479 kg in the year 2020-21, 21-22 and 22-23 respectively. The industry already  has valid authorization for generation of APCD ash @ 0.6 TPA i.e. 600 kgs/day upto 31.03.2024. As such the quntity of hazarodus waste generation is within the authorized quantity and industry need not apply for revised authorization.    The compliance has also been sent through e-noting no. 17367933          Further, the consent fee deposited by the industry is valid upto 31.03.2026.
