<p style="text-align: justify;">NOC was granted to the industry for the installation of 03 soft flow machines, 01 hydro extractor and 1 pole dryer, one boiler of capacity 02 TPH & DG set of capacity 125 KVA with total effluent discharge @ 150 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD. It is submitted that the industry has not mentioned the capacity of machines during NOC. The NOC was granted for dyeing of Dyed Cloth @ 1500 Kg/day.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Presently, the industry has applied for production capacity dyed cloth @ 1000 Kgs/day with discharge of trade effluent @ 100 KLD & domestic effluent @ 0.5 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD along with 01 boiler of capacity 02 TPH & 01 DG set of 125 KVA. The industry has installed 03 soft flow dyeing machines (2 X 300 Kg and 1 X 450 Kg) having total 07 chambers/mouths in its premises. As such, the industry has installed machinery as in the NOC.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has installed machinery for maximum production capacity @ 2100 Kg/day of production of cotton dyeing and 5250 Kg/day production of polyester dyeing. However, the industry has applied for 1000 Kg/day. At this production, discharge of 100 KLD is not possible. The production figures are not consummate with the discharge of effluent applied.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As such, it is recommended that the application of the industry be returned with request to re submit application along with material balance of expected production viz-a-viz effluent discharge.</p> |
