<p style="text-align: justify;">The report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was given personal hearing before the SEE, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 27.01.2023, wherein it was decided that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall provide additional storage facility for storage of its trade effluent, within 07 days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall maintain proper record of water consumption, discharge and effluent lifter and make readily to the visiting officer during visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall regularly lift its effluent to M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana shall visit the industry to carry out water audit under his supervision, check the compliance made by the industry and process the consent application on merits, immediately after completion of time allowed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The industry was made clear that if, the industry will found violating in future, action under the provision of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 will be initiated against the industry for its closure, disconnection of electric supply and Environmental Compensation (EC) will be imposed upon the industry.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To verify the facts, the industry was again visited by the officer of RO on 18.02.2023 and it was observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry was in operation during visit and has installed process of zinc plating.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry has valid agreement with the CETP operator for 3,000 ltrs/month dated 08.02.2021.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry has now provided an additional storage tank of 2 KL for storage of trade effluent and now total storage capacity is 4 KL.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The industry is maintaining the record of total water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted. As per record, the reading on 01.10.2022 was 57.22 KL and reading during the visit was 71.20 KL. The total water consumption from the period 01.10.2022 to till date was 13.98 KL and industry has lifted out total 13 KL (Oct. @ 3 KL, Nov. @ 3 KL, Dec. @ 3 KL, Jan. @ 3 KL and Feb. @ 1 KL) during this period which is in-consonance considering evaporation losses.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The site of industry falls in approved focal point.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> In view of above, it is recommended that the renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2026 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</p>
