The poultry farm was visited by AEE on 23/06/2022 to verify the contents of the complaint and observed that there are 02 nos. poultry farms in operation at the site. The detail observed during visit of both units is as under:-</span></p>

SCN for violations of the provisions under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was issued to the Poultry farm with opportunity of personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer on 12.08.2022 vide Zonal Office letter no. 2618-20 dated 02.08.2022 wherein it was decided as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; letter-spacing: 1pt;">Then Kissaan Majdoor Sangarsh Committee, Punjab, District-Gurdaspur staged a Dharna at Regional Office Batala on 11.01.2023 and submitted a memorandum to initiate action against the poultry farm.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; letter-spacing: 1pt;">As the poultry farm failed to comply with the decisions of the personal hearing held on 12.08.2022, accordingly, it was again recommended to SEE, Zonal Office, Amritsar to initiate action under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for closure of the poultry farm. The Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Amritsar vide letter no.272-73 dated 31.01.2023 issued following orders to the poultry farm:-</span></p>
