<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry is a small scale orange category washing garment unit and was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974, and Air Act, 1981 which was expired on 27.02.2023 and valid upto 30.06.2023 respectively for the production of Ladies Cardigan, Pull overs, Ladies Top, Sweat shirt @ 250 numbers/day with discharge of trade effluent @ 10.0 KLD into sewer after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 1.0 KLD into sewer after treatment through septic tank,.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry had already deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 30.09.2025 (Water) 31.12.2027 (Air).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was visited by officer of RO on 02.03.2023 and observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry was in operation and was engaged in the process manufacturing of knitting, cutting, stitching, washing and pressing of cloths.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry had installed 2 milling machines & 2 hydro machines for washing purpose.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The ETP installed by the industry was based on physio chemical process for treatment of trade effluent to be generated from washing process.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The treated trade effluent as well as domestic effluent was being discharged into sewer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->Earlier, The industry was visited on 17.12.2022 and during the visit, effluent sample were collected from the outlet of the ETP. As per analysis report, the concentration of pH= 7.5, TSS =20 mg/l, TDS =824 mg/l, COD = 72 mg/l, BOD =17 mg/l and O&G = BDL mg/l, as per the report all the parameters were found within the limits prescribed by the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed 01 boiler of capacity @ 0.4 Kgs/day with multi cyclone separate was provided as an APCD. The industry was using wooden chips as fuel in its boiler.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->7. <!--[endif]-->The industry has installed 01 DG set of capacity 70 KVA fitted with canopy and adequate stack height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->8. <!--[endif]-->The industry is complying with the provisions of under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->9. <!--[endif]-->As per the area classification submitted by the industry from ATP, Ludhiana vide no. 1235/ATP/A/D dated 25.09.2019, the site of the industry falls in Industrial Zone as per Master Plan Ludhiana. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2025 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.09.2027 (adequacy of consent fees) with usual conditions.</p>
