<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is medium scale red category unit. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of Hand Tools @ 12 TPD & Tractor Linkage Parts @ 03 TPD. The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/LDH2/2018/7185570 dated 07/05/2018 valid upto 31/03/2023 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH2/2018/7185737 dated 08/05/2018 valid upto 31/03/2023 subject to the certain conditions mentioned therein. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents for the products Hand Tools and Tractor Linkage Parts @ 15 MTPD. The gross fixed assets of the industry have been increased from Rs. 35.48 Cr. to Rs 47.21 Cr. The industry has given the detail of machinery/assets added. The industry has submitted in writing there is no increase of production as well as pollution load and the increase in assets is due to the modernization / addition of machinery for improving the quality of products. The industry has deposited NOC regularization fees. The site of the industry falls in industrial zone, hence it can be regularized. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The site of industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 09.03.2023 and it was observed as under :-</span></p>

Induction Heater for forging of spanners & tractor parts etc. The industry has not installed any additional hammers from the date of previous consent in its premises. There is also no increase in the power load available to the industry. </span></p>

The effluent generated from this section is re-used by passing the effluent through sedimentation tank. A part of RO-reject is re-used in this section as make up water. </span></p>

Further, the industry has provided UF+RO for further treatment of treated trade effluent after physic chemical treatment through ETP. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The RO installed by the industry is having efficiency of about 75% as claimed by the industry. The RO permeate is re-used in the process and the RO reject is lifted to CETP operator and a part is also used in the stone barreling section as make up water. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has provided water meters in the process area, ETP outlet, RO permeate and stone barreling makeup water line and is maintaining water balance record which was found to be in order as observed during the visit. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">10.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">As per the record maintained by the industry, during the month of January i.e. 01.01.2023 to 31.01.2023, the effluent reaching the ETP outlet was 547.8 KL, out of which, RO permeate was 382 KL and RO reject was 165 KL. As such the effluent ETP outlet is almost equal to the sum of RO permeate and RO reject. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">11.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has made an agreement with CETP operator for lifting of 1,25,000 Ltr./Month of trade effluent. During 1.01.2023 to 31.01.2023, out of 165 KL of RO reject, 94 KL has been utilized back in the barreling process and 71 KL was lifted to the CETP Operator. The industry has got RO reject lifted 74 KL and 70 KL in the month of November and December respectively.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">12.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed STP of capacity 72 KLD for treatment of its domestic effluent is discharge onto land for plantation after treatment. The industry has installed water meter at the outlet of STP and is maintaining the record of the same. During the period of 01.01.2023 to 31.01.2023, 656.9 KL was discharged at the outlet of STP as such, the average discharge at the outlet of STP is nearly 21 KLD. The industry has provided adequate land under karnal technology for handling of discharge of treated effluent <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>from the STP.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">13.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The treated domestic effluent sample from the outlet of STP was collected by officer of this office on 01.09.2022 and all the parameters were found to be within the prescribed limit of the Board.</span></p>
