<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> It is intimated that PP has applied the CTE, RO has reported that the Site is suitable for such a type of project. But PP has not submitted the proposal for the scientific mode of disposal to handle the wastewater to be generated from the project, as at present STP of MC, Zirakpur is under capacity and is not adequate to handle the additional effluent load of such projects. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">therefore SCN for refusal of CTE (NOC) applied under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 along with an opportunity to submit the reply within 7 days was issued to the industry vide Board's letter no. 1227-28 dated 16/2/2023. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">PP has not submitted the reply till date .</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">the CTE application is pending since 6/2/23.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">May if approved followint action be taken plaese.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A) CTE applied by the PP may be refused .</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">B) Notice under u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the PP with an opportunity for a personal hearing before CEE(P) . the following direction may be proposed in this notice.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1) <!--[endif]-->project proponent shall stop all construction activities at the site with immediate effect and stop forthwith discharging any effluent/ wastewater into sewer/ inland surface water/ onto land or through any other mode.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2) <!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall not allow any new occupancy and shall not allow any new possession in the premises of the project, with immediate effects. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3) <!--[endif]-->The Revenue Authorities shall not register any sale deed related to any plot/ flat/ house/ shop/ showroom/ any other component of this project, with immediate effect.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4) <!--[endif]-->The PSPCL authorities shall not release any electric connection for this project or to any of its components, with immediate effect.</span></p>
