<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kindly peruse the agenda note and recommendation given by RO. It is intimated that the industry was visited by the AEE of Regional Office, SAS Nagar on 20/7/2020 and observed that the untreated trade effluent was being discharged into the sewer without any treatment. The industry did not comply with provisions of the Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules, 2016. Therefore, the Directions u/s 33-A of the Water ( Act, 1974, for closure of the unit were issued to the industry vide letter no. 3738 dated 29/9/2020 and PSPCL authorities were directed to disconnect the electric supply available to the industry due to reasons mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The electric connection of the industry was disconnected by PSPCL authorities as per TDCO no. 100011150661 dated 5.10.2020 effected on 7.10.2020.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Thereafter PP made the compliance and therefore workshop was earlier granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 was valid up to 15/02/2023 for Services of Cars @ 25.0 Numbers/Day. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent under the Air Act, 1981 with the same capacity and it has submitted a sample report of the process stack of paint booth carried out by Pvt lab within the prescribed by the Board. The industry is complying with the previous Air Act, 1981 granted to it.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> May if approved CTO under the Air Act, 1981 be further renewed up to 30/9/ 27 with the additional condition as proposed by EE, RO.</span></p>

The EE and RO may also be requested to monitor the industry as per protocol framed by the Board to verify compliance with environmental law. </span></p>
