<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the BKO <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>was earlier granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2022/18866441 issued on 05.09.2022 which was valid upto 01.03.2023 for operation of brick kiln with Zig-zag technology to manufacture bricks & tiles @ 40,000 nos./day, subject to the conditions mentioned therein and the electric connection of the BKO was restored temporarily up to 01.03.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Now the Brick kiln has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and renewal of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 for operation of brick kiln with Zig-zag technology to manufacture bricks & tiles @ 40,000 nos./day. The kiln has deposited consent fees of Rs. 29000/- through online vide R.no. 345675690 dated 20.02.2022 under the Air Act, 1981 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>which is adequate upto 31.03.33 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and Rs. 29000/- through online vide R. No. 456783221 dated 20.02.2023 under Water Act, 1974 against the fixed asset of Rs. 35,36,934/- as per the C.A. certificate as on 27.05.2022, which is adequate up to <span style="color: red;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span><span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;">30.10.24.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The Brick kiln was visited by the officer of this office on <span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;">27.02.23 </span>and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">1.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The kiln was in operation during visit and was found using crushed coal along with saw dust. No unauthorized fuel was observed to be stored in brick kiln. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">2.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The kiln has converted its kiln to zig-zag technology as per design of PSCST. The PSCST has issued provisional certificate to brick kiln (which is attached). </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">3. <span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The kiln has stabilized the periphery road / movement area. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">4. <span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The kiln has provided adequate plantation all along its boundary.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">5 .<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after treatment through septic tank .</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">6.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The electric connection of the Brick Kiln has been restored upto 01.03.2023. Further the BKO has been visited surprisingly by this office on 27.09.22 and 9.1.23 and no unauthorized fuel has been observed in the BKO premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>1 . The renewal of Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the brick kiln<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>up to<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>one year with special condition that </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>A . The brick kiln to submit final completion certificate from PSCST within one month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>B.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The brick kiln shall not use/stored any unauthorized fuel at the kiln site.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>C.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Brick Kiln may also develop the vermicomposting/composting to manage the biodegradable solid waste. PP shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain/water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>D.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Brick kiln shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>E.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Brick kiln shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>F.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Brick kiln shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -0.5in; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -0.5in; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', serif; font-size: 12pt;">2 . The electric connection of the BKO</span><span style="text-indent: -0.5in; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span><span style="text-indent: -0.5in; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', serif; font-size: 12pt;">may be restored permanently .</span></p>
