Earlier the Industry was visited by officer of the Board on 21/12/2022 to verify the contents of complaint against washing units and it was observed as under.·</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thereafter the industry was issued show cause notice for violation of the provisions under Water Act. 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 16.01.2023, wherein decided as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Now the industry was applied 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act,1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act,1981 for finishing of cloths @ 2 MTD under green category. The industry has submitted Latest CA Certificate regarding value of Fixed Assets as on 18-01-2023, DTP Certificate, Proprietorship Declaration, MSME Certificate, Manufacturing Process Chart, Registry & Approved Building Plan. The documents submitted by the industry may kindly be perused. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 50.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has submitted fees under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 39500/- vide online R No. 576179001 Dated 28.02.2023, under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 , Rs. 39500/- vide online R No. 39101853 Dated 28.02.2023 and Rs. 2900/- vide online R No. 39101853 Dated 28.02.2023 as NOC regularization. The fee submitted by the industry is valid upto 31.12.2029 under both acts including one-time notional fee in VDS Scheme.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; tab-stops: 27.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"> In view of the above, if approved, Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for short term upto 30/09/2023 subject to suitable conditions and additional condition that the industry will obtain CLU from MC, Ludhiana regarding the operation of the industry at present site and will submit the same in Regional Office of the Board within two months.</span></p>
