<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">The industry is a small scale red category Electroplating unit located in Industrial Area, Jalandhar </span><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; text-indent: 36pt;">and has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. As per agenda note, the industry was visited on 22.02.2023 and observed that the industry is engaged in the manufacturing of G.M Valves and Cocks, G.M Valves and Cocks, C.P Fittings and Pipe fitting. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has installed 1 No. electroplating section (1 No. chrome tank, 1 No. nickel tank and 2 No. acid tank). The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Phase-8, focal Point, Ludhiana for lifting of effluent @ 2000 ltr./month, but now will be reduced from 2000 ltr to 400 ltr. The industry has provided water meter at the inlet of the water supply coming from M.C supply and is maintaining the record of fresh water consumption as well as lifted by CETP operator on daily basis. As per record maintained it was observed that the industry is disposing its waste water to CETP and no effluent is being discharged in to sewer. The industry has lifted trade effluent of @ 6032 ltrs from Aug 2022 to Jan 2023. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has submitted extended bank guarantee of Rs. 25000/- valid upto 30.06.2024.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 115%; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">Keeping in view of report of RO, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Water Act 1974 may be granted to industry upto 30.06.2027 with suitable conditions and special conditions that:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall not discharge any trade effluent into sewer illegally and shall lift whole of the trade effluent to CETP operator at Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that hazardous wastes of all categories are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized companies and shall maintain all the records as per provisions of HWM Rules.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0cm 0cm .0001pt 36.0pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>(Competency:- SEE-J). </span></p>
