The kiln was earlier granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2022/18866024 issued on 23.06.2022 which was valid upto 31.03.2023 for operation of brick kiln with Zig-zag technology to manufacture bricks & tiles @ 40,000 nos./day, subject to the conditions mentioned therein. Now the Brick kiln has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and renewal of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 for operation of brick kiln with Zig-zag technology to manufacture bricks & tiles @ 40,000 nos./day. The kiln has deposited consent fees of  Rs          25400.00 vide UTR no N059232348747050 dated 28.02.23 , Rs 1800.00 vide UTR no SBIN423016075377 dated 16.01.23 ,Rs 1800 vide UTR no SBIN423016077110 dated 16.01.23 under the Water Act ,1974 adequate upto 30.10.24 and Rs. 29000/- through online vide N05923234878206 dated 28.02.23  under the Air Act,  against the fixed asset of Rs. 57,30,240/- as per the C.A. certificate as on 26.05.2022, which is adequate up to 31.03.33 . The Brick kiln was visited by the officer of this office on 27.02.23 and it was observed as under:-           1.       The kiln was in operation during visit and was found using crushed coal along with saw dust. No unauthorized fuel was observed to be stored in brick kiln. 2.       The kiln has converted its kiln to zig-zag technology as per design of PSCST. The PSCST has issued provisional certificate to brick kiln (which is attached). 3.       The kiln has stabilized the periphery road / movement area. 4.       The kiln has provided adequate plantation all along its boundary. 5 .       The domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation after treatment through septic tank .  Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that  renewal of Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974  and under the Air Act ,1981 may be granted to the BKO upto one year with special condition that     A . The brick kiln to submit final completion certificate from PSCST within one month.            B.  The brick kiln shall not use/stored any unauthorized fuel at the kiln site.               C.     The Brick Kiln may also develop the vermicomposting/composting to manage the biodegradable solid waste. PP shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain/water bodies.            D.           The Brick kiln shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities.           E.         The Brick kiln shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.        F.            The Brick kiln shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.  CC Environmental Engineer
