CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2022/19020593 dated 30.06.2022 valid upto 30.06.2027 with certain conditions. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It is further informed that earlier the industry was surprisingly visited by officer of the Board on 14.11.2022 regarding identification of the chemicals used by the industry in its process of acid pickling as the industry has made an agreement with JBR Technologies Ltd. Unit-II, vill. Mangarh, Machhiwara Road, Kohara, Ludhiana for lifting of its trade effluent @ 4500 ltr/month. Accordingly, the effluent sample was collected from the acid pickling process of the industry and as per the results of analysis report, the industry has been using both HCL and H2SO4 in the acid pickling tank. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry was found <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>violating the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as it is lifting HCL to the re-processor facility. Accordingly, the direction u/s 33-A of the Water Act ,1974 was issued to the PSPCL authorities vide board letter no 628-29 dated 10.02.23 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>for disconnecting the electricity supply to the industry <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and consent to operate under the <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Water <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Act ,1974 was revoked <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>vide Board letter no 624 dated 10.02.23 . </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">Now the industry has applied for <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS on 16.06.2022. The industry has deposited Rs. 27,250/- vide no. N164221996933517 dated 13.06.2022 (Rs. 24,550/- under the Water Act, 1974, Rs. 2,200/- as NOC regularization fee and Rs. 500/- form fee), which is adequate upto 31.05.2027 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 28,13,775/- and plant & machinery Rs. 19,18,522/- as on 31.03.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by officer of this office on 14.3.23 <span style="color: red;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span>and <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; margin: 0in 0in 6.0pt .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">1.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in wire drawing and pickling . </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; margin: 0in 0in 6.0pt .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">2.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry has provided water meter on the source of fresh water supply & reading was noted to be 281.09 KL.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; margin: 0in 0in 6.0pt .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">3 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has made an agreement with re-processors i.e. M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana for lifting of pickling effluent @ 4500 Litre/Month.</span></p>

Ltd (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana for lifting of pickling effluent @ 4500 Liter/Month. </span></p>

The industry has also submitted letter in this office informing that they have never used HCL in their process and they will not use HCL without written permission of PPCB in future and has also requested for re sampling . <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
