<p>The policy of the Board w.r.t. establishment of industries in mix land use zones is reproduced as under:</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">“The PPCB will continue to grant consent to establish to any category of industries, which are permissible in the mixed land use areas/zones as per by-laws of the notified Master Plan / draft master plan. The Officers of the Board shall check the permissibility of establishment of such industry in the mixed land use from the bye-laws of the Master Plan.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As there are no such industry-specific guidelines for such types of units by the Board, the industry can be allowed to operate and Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for short term subject to suitable conditions and special condition that it will obtain CLU from MC, Ludhiana and will submit the same in this office within 02 months.</p> |
