<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">It is submitted that the industry has not obtained registration under the PWM Rules, 2016 as recycler. However, the industry can only apply for obtaining registration under PMW Rules, 2016 if it has valid CTOs. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">During visit, the industry was checked and was seen that the industry is not supplying plastic granules as raw material to producers engaged in production of banned SUP items. The representative of the industry informed that the product is sent to following firms for use of making plastic toys M/s Singla Plastic, Sangrur and M/s Simran Plastic, Sangrur. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">It is therefore recommended that CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted for six months with following conditions: </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">1. The industry will apply and obtain registration under PMW Rules, 2016 as recycler on CPCB EPR portal. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">2. The industry will ensure not to supply plastic granules as raw material to producer for manufacturing single use plastic. </span></p> |
