<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; background: white;">The industry is a small scale red category unit and was granted NOC valid upto 28.10.2022 for manufacturing of Lead ingot @ 4 Metric Tonnes/Day Lead alloys @ 3 Metric Tonnes/Day. Now, the industry has applied for fresh consents.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The RO has processed the consent cases and as per agenda note, the industry was visited by officer on 06.03.2023 and it was observed that the industry was not in operation. The industry has installed 01 no. lead smelting furnace with Gravity Dust Settling Chamber followed by Multi Cyclone Separator followed by Bag Filter followed by wet alkali scrubber. The industry has installed treatment plant for treatment of the trade effluent to be generated in the form of spent acid from batteries & effluent from washing of floor of battery braking section & washing of waste plastic to be generated from breakage of battery. The industry will be discharging treated effluent into sewer after treatment through ETP. Domestic effluent will be discharged into sewer. The industry has provided impervious flooring in the used battery braking section to avoid any seepage. During visit, the representative of the industry was also guided to provide acid proof tiles. The industry has submitted building plan approved from Director of Factories, Punjab. The project proponent has uploaded the area of classification certificate issued from ATP Jalandhar vide letter No. 249 dated 27.05.2021 in which it is mentioned that the site of the industry falls in general industrial zone as per master plan 2009-31.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Keeping in view of report of RO, it is recommended that fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with usual conditions and special condition that:-</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 2.0cm; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -14.15pt; mso-list: l1 level2 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 2.0cm; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -14.15pt; mso-list: l1 level2 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 2.0cm; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -14.15pt; mso-list: l1 level2 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</span></p>
